We are Design for Movement, a multi-disciplinary global design team within Steer Davies Gleave. The core areas that define our work are information, environment and identity. This is our portfolio of selected projects.

Leyton & Leytonstone Mini-Hollands

Leyton & Leytonstone Mini-Hollands

Client: London Borough of Waltham Forest, UK
Year: 2015 – 2016

Waltham Forest Council was successful in securing £27 million of Transport for London Mini-Holland funding to encourage walking and cycling by providing quieter routes that are safe and comfortable for all users, from ages 8 to 80.

We led the design development of the Mini-Holland scheme for Leyton and Leytonstone town centres; two of the areas identified by the Council for improvement.

Our work included development of concept and preliminary designs for cycling and walking infrastructure that offered a high quality contribution to local public realm.

We also supported public consultation through development of maps and visuals, and talking through issues and concerns with members of the public at workshops.
